Eternal Lord; as we approach the streaming rays of a new day, we confess our reluctance to entrust ourselves in you as the guide for this day of opportunities. Forgive us, we pray, and enable us to follow in the footsteps of Jesus; Lord, Prophet, Rabbi, Savior, and give us the courage and fortitude to always proclaim, with voice and life, that:
- you are the Lord of Life
- the Light in the darkness of a world gone mad
- the salvation for the world, and of all your children who inhabit it
- the God who was from the beginning, and is today, and is to come yet
Be with us on all our travels this day - at home, at work, and into the city streets - instilling in us all not only the courage to praise you in voice, but to be your presence in word and deed, for the blessing of all your creation.
Amen.
