SECOND SUNDAY IN ADVENT
Eternal God, who is the divine Creator of all life, and who is the true reality of today, yesterday and tomorrow; it is only in you that we live and breathe, and possess our being.
In this season of Advent, and in all the seasons of our lives, we are grateful for every beat our our heart, and for every breathe that we take, knowing that you are in each. Help us to pause in the busyness of this holiday season, to acknowledge your continual presence in our midst, and to thank you for receiving our prayerful and reverent adoration, this day.
With gratitude and faith, the prayers of our hearts and the joyful hymns of our spirits are offered in thankfulness for the gift of life itself, and the gift of the coming life - Jesus Christ, the Christmas Child - who's coming reign we seek, and who is present here with us even now; the Alpha and Omega of our life.
We bless your holy name, in spirit and in truth, and worship you daily in the beauty of your holiness.
And so it is …
Amen!
