Almighty God, who has come among creation’s people in the Christ Child, with a desire for the eternal salvation of all; as I walk the path of Advent, I long for heart, Holy One. My soul does long for you and your ever-abiding Spirit.
My reflections this day have revealed to me my inward longing to be a part of your Kingdom’s plan; to use my life as an instrument of the fulfillment of your yearnings for all your people. And so I pray that my daily living may be for the blessing of my neighbor in some way, great or small. I seek to be a person of Peace for your world, and of Hope for all those who long for you as well. May my existence each day before others be like that star that pointed to the Christ in a stable so very long ago.
And so I humbly appeal to you: may my life not be lived in vain, precious Lord, but may you find that it is one that is lived in seeking your divine will every hour, every day; after your own heart, that my every breathe is in keeping with your will for all creation.
